We are looking at starting a new Fellowship of Christan Magicians (FCM) Chapter in the Atlanta, GA Thursday March 10th, 2011

WHAT:  We are looking at starting a new Fellowship of Christan Magicians (FCM) Chapter in the Atlanta, GA area.

WHEN:  Thursday, March 10th at 7:00 pm.

WHERE:  At John Jefferson’s house:  1500 Heath Lane;  Marietta, GA 30062.

WHO:  FCM Members, plus their spouses & family.  Also, any interested and perspective new FCM members.

Boy!  It was fun to meet fellow Christians and to share experiences and magic.  We had 7 people at our first meeting:  (Leland Davis, Randy Burt, Scott Gentry, Rick Jeffers, his wife Angela, my wife Julia, and myself (John Jefferson)).

After refreshments and fellowship (where Randy Burt shared the Cross/Hell paper tear), we adjourned to the “MAGIC ROOM”.  We opened our meeting with prayer, then each person shared a funny, embarrassing, and/or most meaningful story of their experiences in the world of Gospel Magic.  We each were given a Gospel Dollar and learned, via a workshop, the magic trick “The Door”, which I learned form Magic Bob at the last FCM Conference in Marion, IN. Everyone was given a FCM hat, cricket magnets (with comedy vanishing spoon trick), and instructions for “The Door”.

We had our first group picture (with and without the new hats).

We discussed future meetings and voted on the following:

We will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  Our next meeting will be at the Jefferson’s house:  1500 Heath Lane, Marietta, GA 30062.

Before we knew it, we were in a workshop doing various rope magic and sharing rope routines.

Eventually, we closed in prayer.

Please mark your calendar for our next meeting April 14th at 7:00 p.m.  Hopefully you will be able to join our new fellowship.

Keep the “SON” Shining………………..

My name is John Jefferson and I got your email address out of the FCM Directory.  In speaking with fellow members in the area there seems to be an interest in having a Local FCM Chapter that meets on a periodic basis (monthly, semi-monthly, etc.).  This note is the start of seeing if that interest exists with each of you.

PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL:  If you are available to attend our first meeting of interest (see above date time and location) OR if you can not attend this date but would be interested in being a part of a local chapter OR you would like to be notified of possible future meetings of a local chapter.  I would also welcome a call if you would like (770-973-7497).

I promise to have a few surprises and refreshments for you at this first meeting and hope you can join our fellowship with fellow FCM members.

Awaiting your REPLY:

Keep the “SON” Shining…………..
