To The Membership of the FCM:
I am writing to you as the newly appointed interim President of the FCM.
Last night (March 16, 2020), the board met to appoint an interim President. I was honored that the members of the board, together, felt strongly that I should be the person to assume the role for the next few months. With God’s help and the encouragement of the board and many of you, I’m looking forward to the challenge to lead and keep making forward progress!
Because I was appointed, it left a vacancy in the 1st Vice President’s position. The board recommended and agreed to approach Curt Patty to fill that role for the interim period of time. I’m pleased to announce that Curt accepted that role and is ready to serve as well!
I am excited about the future of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians — so much opportunity awaits us and much work needs to be done. Our leadership team covets your prayers.
As you may remember from my last email, this appointment of a President and 1st Vice President takes effect now and lasts until the annual business meeting in July, 2021 (During the convention). At that time, there will be a process to vote in both positions with people who will continue the remainder of this current term.
With that said: I really hope you can join us at this year’s Convention, July 25-30, 2021 — it’s going to be an amazing time!
